Race to Nowhere (Movie and Discussion)

Join us as we watch the documentary, "Race to Nowhere", a movie that examines the pressures of schools and "calls us to challenge current thinking about how we prepare our children for success." Director Vicki Abeles examines the "dark side of America's Achievement Culture" and explains the need to transform the current educational system. After the movie, "engage in a discussion with students, teachers and parents about the pressure to be successful and achieve in the CHCCS district; and how this is often evenmore challenging for students of color.
